About Karbase Services Limited:
Established in 2005, Karbase Services began as a panel beating and suspension/wheel alignment shop in Otahuhu. Over the years, we have grown to become a one-stop shop for automotive services, including:
- Diagnostic tuning
- Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections
- General repairs
- Repair certifications
- Vehicle compliance
In 2017, we moved to a larger facility at 100 Great South Road, Otahuhu, to accommodate our expanding services, including a compliance center and service station.

Position: Panel Beater
Location: Otahuhu, Auckland
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $28 to $31 per hour (based on experience)
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Panel Beater at Karbase Services Limited, you will be responsible for:
1. Vehicle Assessment: Inspecting damaged vehicles to assess the extent of repairs required.
2. Panel Repairs: Repairing or replacing damaged panels, frames, and body parts to restore vehicles to their original condition.
3. Alignment and Fitting: Ensuring proper alignment and fitting of panels, doors, bonnets, and other body parts.
4. Welding and Fabrication: Performing welding and fabrication work as needed to repair or modify vehicle structures.
5. Surface Preparation: Preparing surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and smoothing.
6. Quality Control: Ensuring all repairs meet industry standards and company quality guidelines.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and caring for tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
8. Team Collaboration: Working closely with other team members, including painters and mechanics, to ensure seamless repair processes.
9. Customer Service: Communicating with customers to explain repair processes and provide updates on progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Panel Beater in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of panel beating techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications (preferred but not essential).
- A valid driver’s license.
