Vintel Limited is seeking an experienced Store Manager to join its liquor store in the Wellington region. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, business-driven, and capable of efficiently managing daily operations while ensuring smooth store performance and growth. Key Responsibilities:• Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and smooth service delivery.• Manage financial aspects of the business, including cash flow, banking, and reconciliation of accounts.• Monitor pricing strategies and margins to maintain targeted gross profit levels.• Ensure full compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and all licensing obligations.• Develop and monitor sales, stock, and labour budgets to optimise overall store performance.• Plan and execute local marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and revenue.• Promote the business through social media and other digital channels to attract and retain customers.• Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly to maintain strong customer relationships.• Liaise with suppliers to manage stock replenishment, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely deliveries.• Recruit, train, and supervise staff to uphold company service standards and operational efficiency.• Foster a positive team culture by motivating employees and recognising strong performance.• Support business growth by identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer experience.• Maintain a safe and compliant workplace in line with company Health & Safety policies. The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $28 and $35 per hour. Other Important Requirements:• A minimum of 1-year relevant work experience or a Level 5 qualification in a related field.• Strong organisational and time management skills• Available to work on weekends and late evening shifts.• High attention to detail and accuracy• Ability to work independently and in a team• Proven leadership and staff supervision skills• Reliable, hardworking, and proactive
