We are seeking a passionate and experienced Baker to join our dedicated team and contribute to our continued success.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
Ensure the quality and consistency of all baked products.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings.
Assist with customer service when needed, providing friendly and knowledgeable support.
Operate and maintain baking equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Work early morning shifts to ensure fresh products are available when the cafe opens.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
at least a Level 4 baking or culinary qualification.
Strong understanding of baking techniques and the ability to create a variety of baked goods from scratch.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.

 
Our café is located in New Market, Auckland.
Working hours are 30 hours per week from Monday to Sunday.
The rate is fixed at $29.70 per hour.
The applicant should either be an NZ Resident or hold a valid work visa.
