Senior Estimator Auckland, NZ 150 K$170 K Dependant upon experience The Role: As a Senior Civil Estimator, you will be part of a team working on a large tender for major projects in Auckland.
Main Duties Your responsibilities will include: Prepare subcontract & materials enquiries and review subsequent quotations.
Build up an accurate cost estimate for the permanent works in an elemental and analytical format.
Prepare an accurate cost estimate for the preliminary resources required to carry out the works per the agreed programme & engineering requirements.
Check labour & plant resources accumulated in the cost estimate balance with those derived from the tender programme.
Prepare the commercial tender for submission to the Client.
On acceptance of tender by Client check proposed contract reflects the enquiry documents and subsequent offer.
Prepare and present the commercial handover documents to the contract delivery team.
Liaise with construction teams to ensure output & resource data collected providing feedback for future tenders.
About You: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or constructionrelated qualification.
Civil Contracting background with experience in successfully estimating and winning large scale projects ($500m +).
An indepth appreciation of engineering techniques, construction processes and their suitability.
Ability to assess site conditions from a physical inspection & interpretation of surveys and investigations.
A practicalminded handson approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills.
Proficient knowledge/working of Estimating software ( Expert ).
Beneifts: Salary Package of $150 K$170 K dependant upon experience.
