Based in Onehunga, our company specializes in modular stainless steel solutions, including sinks, work benches, dishwasher benches, wall shelving, and dry goods shelving.
With a team of highly skilled sheet metal engineers and mechanical ventilation installers, we also offer custom fabrication work, such as commercial extraction hoods, dishwashing benches, kitchen benching, and various ad hoc stainless steel projects.
We arecurrently seeking reliable, full-time Welders to join our team starting from 40 hours per week.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks, including:

Determine Welding Position and Material Type: Assess the welding position and identify the type of aluminium or metal to be fused.
Select and Set Up Welding Equipment: Choose the appropriate welding equipment and prepare it for use.
Cut, Bend, and Fit Metal/Aluminium Parts: Shape and fit metal or aluminium components as required for the project.
Join Metal/Aluminium Sections: Use various welding techniques to join metal or aluminium sections.
Use Electric Currents for Welding: Apply electric currents to generate heat and bond metals or aluminium.
Electric Arc Cutting: Utilize heat from an electric arc to cut and trim metal or aluminium objects.
Operate Welding Machine: Manage a welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials effectively.
Use Molten Metal for Joining: Employ molten metal to join two pieces of metal or aluminium parts.
Examine Welds: Inspect welds for bead width, penetration, and precision to ensure quality.
Clean and Smooth Welds: File, chisel, and grind welds to achieve a clean and smooth finish.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Welding Expertise: At least three years of proven experience in various welding techniques and processes. Alternatively, relevant qualifications demonstrate sufficient knowledge.
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise and high-quality welds.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in setting up and operating welding equipment and machines.
Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to assess and adjust welding techniques as needed.
Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of welding, including standing for extended periods and handling heavy materials.
Working times: Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).
Others: Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
A pre-employed drug test and police check are required.
