More details about the position ●        Location: AUCKLAND ●        Job type: Full-time Permanent ●        Number of positions for this job: up to 5 ●        Pay rate: from $27-$35 per hour ●        Days required: 5-6 days/week ●        Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week Responsibilities and Accountabilities: ·            Deciding on appropriate sewing techniques before work commences. ·            Meeting with consumers and inspecting patterns to determine each job's requirements. ·            Cutting, sewing, and gluing curtain fabric according to the requirements ·            Use of industrial ironing machine, straight stitch machines & hemming machines ·            Interpret & follow work instructions ·            Operating the foot pedal, plus the stitch length and width regulators, as you sew. ·            Replacing the sewing machine's needle, as required. ·            Detecting and repairing basic faults with the sewing machine as they occur. ·            Packing of products ·            Daily cleaning of work area Job Requirement ●         At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification ●         A “can-do” attitude ●         Have an eye on details ●         Self-motivated ●         Clean non-criminal record If you are interested in the role, please send your CV or details to us: admin@thecurtainplace.co.nz Please note your visa status in the cover letter if you are not an NZ citizen or resident.
