Company Overview Chinz Logistics Ltd is a New Zealand–based international logistics and freight forwarding company established in 2007. Operating under the Parcelmate brand, we specialise in cross-border e-commerce logistics between China and New Zealand, including international freight, customs clearance, warehousing, sorting, and last-mile delivery. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our end-to-end supply chain and warehouse operations. Position Overview The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the storage, movement, and distribution of goods across our international and domestic logistics network. This is a senior-level, full-time role suitable for candidates with extensive experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or supply chain management. Key Responsibilities Supply Chain & Freight Coordination · Plan, direct, and monitor international freight operations, including shipping schedules, customs coordination, and domestic distribution. · Develop and manage transport routes, delivery priorities, and freight handling procedures to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods. · Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, transport companies, and external service providers to maintain seamless logistics workflows. Warehouse & Inventory Management · Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control. · Ensure warehouse accuracy and efficiency through workflow optimisation and system-based inventory tracking (e.g., Parcelmate or other WMS/TMS platforms). · Maintain workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant H&S regulations. Operational Performance & Process Improvement · Monitor KPIs such as delivery performance, cost efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times. · Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements, automation, or technology solutions to enhance productivity. · Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes and ensure quality control across all operational stages. Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership · Lead and train warehouse staff, logistics coordinators, and operational team members to improve capability and performance. · Build strong working relationships with suppliers, freight partners, and key clients. · Provide input into business planning, capacity forecasting, and logistics-related strategic development. Skills & Qualifications Required Academic Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, International Trade, or a closely related discipline (required). Work Experience Requirements · Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification full-time experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehouse management, supply chain management, or transport operations. · Proven experience in team management or operational leadership roles (required). Technical & Professional Skills · Strong understanding of international freight processes (air/sea), customs procedures, warehousing operations, and domestic distribution. · Proficiency with logistics systems, warehouse management tools, or transportation management software (experience with Parcelmate is an advantage). · Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities. · Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
