Auto Electrician

Wade Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Auto Electrician with “spark” and “drive ” in the delivery of specialised vehicle installations.
Your expertise and skills will be rewarded with a place within Wade Group’s close-knit manufacturing team based in Te Rapa, Hamilton.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and wiring of specialist vehicles.
In this role, your day-to-day will involve:

Routine electrical parts installation
Preparation, layout, and routing of wires and cables for harness assemblies
Test, probe, diagnose, analyse, and solve complex auto-electrical issues with systems and components
Testing of systems, identification, diagnosis, and repair of all auto electrical issues

Skills and Experience

Trade qualification, or equivalent experience, with ideal candidates having exposure to working on purpose-built vehicles such as ambulances and specialised vehicles
Strong initiative with excellent problem-solving skills
Proven capability to interpret wiring diagrams and instructions in resolving electrical issues either independently or with your team
Expertise and the technical skill to deliver both quality and safety when working with 12-volt & 24-volt systems
Strong organisational skills, including effective prioritising and follow-up
Full Clean New Zealand Driver's license
