Starting salary: $ 96,307 to $ 113,303 + Superannuation

The role | Te tūnga
This fixed term role will support Stats NZ’s continued work relating to Social Investment and the Integrated Data Infrastructure.
In this role, you will:
Collect information needs and data requirements from teams across Stats NZ
Negotiate requirements between data suppliers and Stats NZ, with a focus on feasibility, viability, desirability, legality, and ethics
Oversee, govern, capture, and validate information about data and data quality
Coordinate data acquisition as part of Stats NZ’s work on Social Investment and the Integrated Data Infrastructure
Work closely with Stats NZ’s legal, privacy and data security teams
What you bring | Nōu te rourou
To be successful in this role you will need:
In-depth understanding of data and data quality
3-5 years’ experience in data sourcing or contract management
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Experience turning technical data requirements into contracts
The ability to adapt and deal with ambiguity
Experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder/customer relationships
Demonstrated customer centricity.
Demonstrated advocacy for, or support of , diversity and inclusion.
Familiarity or commitment to developing understanding of Te Tiriti , Tikanga, Te Reo, Te Ao Māori
