Exciting Opportunity: Traffic Management Specialist - Traffic Incident Response for a suitably skilled person in Roading, Traffic or Transportation Engineering.
Calling all Transportation Engineers, Traffic Engineers, and Road Maintenance Engineers Are you ready to apply your technical expertise to real-time network operations? A leading transportation team is seeking a skilled engineer to join their team as a Traffic Incident Response Specialist.
This role offers a unique opportunity to transition from traditional engineering into dynamic network management, allowing you to leverage your technical knowledge in a fast-paced, operational environment.
As a Traffic Incident Response Specialist, you'll: Apply your engineering expertise to manage and optimise a major urban road network Analyse traffic patterns and incident data to inform real-time decision-making Collaborate with transport operations centre and emergency services to enhance network resilience Develop and implement innovative solutions for traffic flow and incident response Utilise your understanding of road infrastructure to guide efficient asset restoration Key responsibilities include: Responding to and managing a wide range of incidents, from vehicle breakdowns to major crashes Coordinating resources and providing tactical guidance based on engineering principles Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards Ideal candidates will have: Degree in Transportation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or related field 5 years' + experience in road construction, maintenance, or network management STMS Category A, B, C Non-Practising (desirable) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication abilities Adaptability to work in a dynamic, real-time environment This role offers engineers an exciting career progression, allowing you to apply your technical knowledge in an operational context.
