About the role Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this strategic role is responsible for the overall direction of the TSB’s non-financial risk management function.
In conjunction with key stakeholders, including the Head of Financial Crime Compliance, this role formulates the organisation’s non-financial risk management policies and application throughout the organisation and serves as an advisor to executive management and the Board of Directors.
Who Are you?You will have sound knowledge of risk frameworks, processes, reporting and systems with an understanding of Regulatory Risk management practices and current regulatory trends in the banking/financial services sector.
As an effective communicator and advisor, you’ll demonstrate the ability to provide sound guidance and engage and influence at all levels of the organisation.
You will evidence critical thinking, with the aptitude to understand commercial business objectives, and contribute to embedding a positive culture of confident and informed risk-taking.
Your responsibilities include: Responsible for ensuring all relevant non-financial risks are identified, monitored, measured and reported effectively and regularly Serve the statutory role of TSB’s Privacy Officer Facilitate liaison support with external regulatory or legal bodies on non-financial risk management issues and delegating for the Chief Risk Officer when required Contribute to the evaluation of a variety of high-level internal initiatives with respect to their impact on the Bank’s non-financial risk profile Responsible for formulating and articulates a coherent non-financial risk appetite and infrastructure, and ensuring that internal policies and practices reflect this To succeed in this role, you’ll need: 15+ years' experience working in Risk within financial services or other highly regulated industry At least 10 years’ working in a senior risk management role, with demonstrated senior leadership and business management experience Proven expertise in Line 2 assurance practices Who are we?At TSB, we’re small enough to really care about our customers but big enough to have great rates, innovative products, and digital solutions.
