Our operations involve complex, high-risk construction processes that demand a high level of accuracy and regulatory compliance in both finance and health & safety. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Coordinator to provide integrated support to our CEO and Operations Manager. This is a unique role that simultaneously combines critical functions in project coordination, financial administration, and mandated site compliance within our high-risk environment. This integrated function requires a rare combination of practical experience and certified compliance skills that are not commonly available in the local labour market for a single position. The role involves supporting the CEO during domestic and occasional overseas travel. Travel is essential to the role and cannot be performed remotely. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate complex concrete construction projects, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation. Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and budgets (with proficiency in Xero). Assist CEO in operational oversight and coordination. Support and administer Health & Safety systems to ensure strict compliance with regulations on high-risk sites. Coordinate communication between contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives. Apply learnings from business development activities to improve company operations. Note: Duties are supportive and coordination-focused; they do not involve independent executive decision-making. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance, bookkeeping, or operational support in any industry, with demonstrated ability to apply these skills in a concrete construction environment. Experience with Xero or similar accounting software. Demonstrable knowledge of high-risk concrete construction processes and New Zealand health & safety regulations is REQUIRED. (This is essential for compliance and integration). Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Mandatory Level 3 Health & Safety certification or higher; ongoing training in H&S in Construction is advantageous. Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally for work. This role requires an integrated skill set across project coordination, finance, operations, and H&S administration, which is not commonly available in the local labour market. Reporting Line: Reports directly to the CEO and Operations Manager. Travel Conditions (Audit-Proof Justification): Domestic and occasional overseas travel is essential and cannot be performed remotely. The person is specifically required to accompany the CEO and Operations Manager to: Support on-site compliance and operational oversight of remote concrete construction projects.
