We are seeking an experienced, primary-trained teacher to join our welcoming and forward-thinking team at Reporoa College. This position is for our Year 7–8 Mahi Tahi area, which forms part of our unique middle school environment within a secondary setting.

The ideal applicant will:

  • Have recent experience teaching Y7–8, or upper primary
  • Be confident or willing to upskill in structured literacy approaches
  • Have strong curriculum knowledge and be familiar with the NZ Curriculum refresh and upcoming changes to Literacy and Numeracy standards
  • Be a culturally responsive practitioner who builds strong relationships with ākonga, whānau, and colleagues
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive education
  • Be collaborative, reflective, and future-focused in their teaching practice
