The opportunity

Due to study leave cover, we have a 12-month fixed term role where you'll manage an established and warm portfolio within our Commercial Liability & Financial Lines team. Here's what makes this opportunity stand out:

Your new role

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our broker relationships, using your expertise to drive success. You will:

  1. Underwrite risks within Professional Indemnity, D&O, casualty and liability.
  2. Build and manage partnerships with Commercial Brokers, ensuring they understand and engage with our products, services, and appetite.
  3. Oversee your renewal portfolio and drive new business targets with a strategic, solutions-focused approach.
  4. Offer timely decisions and problem-solving solutions for brokers and intermediaries.
  5. Stay ahead of industry trends, deepen your understanding of our risk appetite and products, and proactively share insights to drive innovative solutions.

About You

With experience in the insurance industry, you are:

  1. Experienced in either underwriting with strong technical underwriting expertise in financial lines.
  2. Passionate about insurance, and the positive impact it has on businesses and communities.
  3. Excited by understanding the nuances of liability & understanding the risks.
  4. Good communicator & comfortable with building & maintaining relationships with brokers.
  5. Comfortable with negotiating.
  6. Analytical with problem-solving skills.
