About the role:
We are looking for a driven professional who might have experience in the security market or be a qualified electrician looking for some growth You will have the ability to provide timely service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Installing, configuring, and programming security systems
- Managing installation projects to ensure they meet customer deadlines
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing faults
- Maintaining and monitoring customer security systems
- Documenting all service checks and reporting on any faults
- Participating in an on-call roster and responding to callouts in a timely manner
- Providing technical support to the sales team
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday.
Our ideal Security Technician:
- Electrical or electronic security qualifications, or willingness to work towards one
- Qualified electrician with three years of experience (desirable)
- Data cabling or IT experience (beneficial but not essential)
- Experience installing Access Control Systems and Security Camera Systems
- Installation, programming, and servicing experience with electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
- Knowledge and experience working with Milestone, Gallagher, Tecom, ICT, and Integriti systems is desirable
- Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to contribute to and work effectively within a diverse team
- Highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised when required
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
- Sound knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations
- Full, clean NZ driver's licence
- Physically fit to carry work equipment around sites
