About Our Team/Mō Te Tīma
In this role, you'll work closely with the Digital Presence and Digital Learning Environment programme teams, as part of the Office of Transformation & Improvement. Together, we are focussed on improving the University's digital channels, and the supporting capabilities, to provide effective, engaging user experiences for students, staff and our wider communities. We are highly collaborative, user-centred and solution-oriented.

The Role/Te Mahi
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Student Portal project from planning, through design and development, to delivery and handover.

This is a new web and mobile portal for students to find relevant information, tools and services, supporting them on their learner journey.

You will be responsible for ensuring that projects deliver the required outputs and meet student and stakeholder objectives. You'll be pivotal in managing all aspects of the project lifecycle to achieve successful outcomes and exceed expectations.

Your skills and experience/Kā Pūkeka Me Kā Wheako
To excel in this role, you will:
  • Hold relevant qualifications in project management, IT, or business (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
  • Have significant experience in project management.
  • Be skilled in project management methodologies and tools, including scoping, planning, monitoring and reporting.
  • Possess strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
While not essential, it would be ideal to have project management experience delivering digital experience products in large or complex organisations, proven leadership skills, and a solid understanding of change management methodologies.

Further Details/Pūroko
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term (until June 2026) position, located in Dunedin.

The appointment range for this role is $93,321 to $101,963. Top of the range is $110,603. An additional allowance may be available for the right candidate.
