About the Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale store
Located in the heart of a growing community, our Silverdale store is known for its knowledgeable team, wide product range, and strong connection with local tradies and weekend warriors alike. Purpose-built from the ground up, our brand-new Silverdale store sets a new benchmark for home improvement retail—with cutting-edge tech, massive range, and a community-first mindset.

About the Role
We're on the lookout for a confident, customer-focused team member to join our Customer Services team in our Silverdale store. This isn't a checkout role—instead, you'll be at the heart of our in-store service "hub", assisting with queries, processing refunds, managing click & collect and deliveries, and handling customer claims and exchanges. No two days are the same This is a full-time, permanent position working a 40-hour week over 5 days. It comes with a competitive hourly rate based on your experience and a great range of team member benefits.

Your Day-to-Day
  1. Assist customers with returns, exchanges, faulty goods, and warranty claims
  2. Manage click & collect orders and coordinate home delivery arrangements
  3. Respond to in-store queries and radio for specialist help or heavy lifting support
  4. Process transactions including refunds and special orders using EFTPOS and other payment types
  5. Support checkouts when needed, including basic transaction processing
  6. Maintain accurate records and ensure stock integrity and merchandising standards are upheld
What You'll Bring
  1. 2+ years of retail or customer service experience in a similar environment
  2. Strong cash handling, EFTPOS, and transaction processing skills
  3. Familiarity with loyalty programs and end-of-day balancing
  4. High attention to detail and confident numerical ability
  5. Great multi-tasking and time management skills
  6. Calm, professional communication style—even under pressure
  7. A positive, solutions-focused approach to helping customers
  8. Ideally, you live locally in Silverdale or nearby
