Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent and competent delivery of the New Zealand NCEA Curriculum
  • Implement the school's vision, focusing on student achievement and engagement
  • Promote self-directed learning
  • Assist in analysing student data to identify strengths and areas for development
  • Provide feedback to students to improve their performance and maintain regular progress reports
  • Ensure school policies are correctly implemented
  • Collaborate with Principal to support students with learning needs.

Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience with the NCEA curriculum is required. We currently have a preference for earth and space science teachers, but all other specialties will be considered
  • Current registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Expertise in teaching at the secondary NCEA Levels 1–3, with flexibility across at least 1 other subject
  • Strong commitment to student success and innovative teaching practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tertiary degree in relevant field.
