KingsGate School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and creative Maths/Science Teacher to join our growing secondary team. This is a 0.8 FTE tagged position, with the opportunity to increase as the school roll expands. The specialist classroom teacher (SCT) role may also be negotiated for a suitable candidate.

KingsGate currently offers classes to Y11 and is growing toward Y13. This position will initially involve teaching mathematics and/or science up to Year 11, but the successful applicant must be capable of teaching up to NCEA Level 3 as senior levels are added.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  1. Holds current NZ teacher registration (with a Practising Certificate)
  2. Has experience in teaching Maths and/or Science (please state specialisation in application)
  3. Can deliver the curriculum up to NCEA Level 3
  4. Uses innovative and culturally responsive pedagogy
  5. Understands and honours the Tiriti o Waitangi
  6. Is committed to inclusive practice, including support for neurodiverse learners
  7. Demonstrates a vibrant Christian faith and can uphold the school's special character
  8. Is collaborative, reflective, and community-minded
