Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand Wētā Workshop Ltd Full time

Here at Wētā Workshop we've been designing and building cool stuff for over 35 years. Inside our Miramar-based Wellington facility exists the capability to execute almost any creative brief, to the highest quality, and deliver just about anywhere in the world.

Our Finance team provides the financial advice, analysis, and information that empowers us to keep doing what we do best.

Job Description

We're looking for a Finance Administrator to join the team for a 6-month fixed-term period while we complete our ERP system implementation.

You'll be responsible for a mix of payroll administration, credit card administration, and general financial support for the team.

Day to day you'll be:
  • Managing changes to our payroll, responding to payroll queries, and reviewing payroll calculations from our external payroll service provider.
  • Preparation and processing of the weekly contractor payroll.
  • Preparing tax returns (including RWT, NRWT, FBT, and GST).
  • Responsible for company credit card administration.
We're looking for someone who has:
  • Proven experience processing payroll data.
  • Experience in a role providing finance or accounting support.
  • Strong communication skills to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Great time management, is well organized in their work, and can meet deadlines.
  • The ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment.

If you have any accounting/business qualifications and you've used Sage 300, that's an advantage (but by no means essential).

Why us?

This is a unique workplace, with lots to learn and always something interesting going on.

The finance team is friendly, fun, and knows how to get things done – and you'll also get to be part of our ERP implementation project
