We are seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to manage and lead a Hotel in Auckland.

As the flagship of our commercial property group, the hotel is a long-established all-suite style Apartment hotel in the prime location within Auckland's Central City.

Reporting to the local Directors, you will lead and support the Management and Operations team, manage guest experience, and deliver exceptional results to our stakeholders.

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, positive candidate who will hit the ground running and drive our growth in our entrepreneurial organisation. As well as leading the management of the hotel, you will have significant experience in business-to-business sales and have a good understanding of web, media, and social marketing campaigns.

You will support the Hotel sales initiatives via direct negotiated contracts with corporates, campaigns with OTA's, and direct marketing to guests via social and media campaigns. You will be supported by a highly experienced, established team who will enjoy your enthusiasm and energy. Our Support Office provides Human Relations and Finance support.

Minimum Requirements

You will have:

  • A solid history of achieving excellent results in a senior position within a hotel, serviced apartment complex, or related business in New Zealand
  • Experience in leading operational and front office teams
  • Customer development and sales skills
  • Team leadership expertise
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of written and conversational English
  • Negotiation and budgeting experience
