The Opportunity

The people team at Awanui play a pivotal role supporting over 2,000 employees throughout New Zealand working in the human and veterinary pathology services. We are looking for a proactive, people centric HR Administrator to join our awesome, future focused team. You will make a difference to the people team and wider Awanui community with your meaningful contribution. This position is essential to the smooth functioning of HR operations elevating the people experience we continuously seek to improve. As a trusted member of our team, your skills, knowledge and thoughts will be encouraged and appreciated. Key Responsibilities

This is a diverse role with each day offering a variety of duties that make a difference to all Awanui employees.

  1. Being proactive and taking ownership to assist the HR team in day-to-day administrative tasks.
  2. Being the first friendly point of contact for HR related queries.
  3. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the HRIS system to ensure data accuracy, system functionality, and optimal performance.
  4. Be an HRIS Superuser and provide hands on technical support to HR and other end-users.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  6. Administer the onboarding process for new employees and support the offboarding process.
  7. Support projects that shape culture, engagement and inclusion.

About You

You will have an HR tertiary qualification or equivalent in business or communications. You demonstrate drive, enthusiasm, self-motivation, confidence, and initiative with a genuine interest in people that values their employee experience. Your proactive approach to be ready to roll up your sleeves and be involved will quickly establish credibility and respect from others. Your creative thinking around issues and positive contribution to solutions will allow you to thrive and grow as you embark on your HR career.
