Description

We are looking for a professional, customer focused Public Transport Planner to join the Metlink Service Design team.

This position is a permanent full-time role based in our central Wellington office on Cuba street.

About the role:

Reporting to the Manager Service Design, the Public Transport Planner will support the Senior Planner to manage a complex portfolio of bus and ferry services. This will involve working with bus companies, transport operators, and communities.

You will provide analytical knowledge around urban and city planning and act as a Service Design contact point for the business and assist in managing relationships between internal clients and external business partners.

Key to your role will be monitoring and analysing data trends in public transport service performance, travel time, and patronage at a network and service level to help tell a story that will lead to the design of a better and improved service.

Skills and experience required:

  • Highly capable analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Experience working with data and service design documentation using software applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and customers.

The remuneration for this position, inclusive of all benefits, is $74,652 to $111,977, with a midpoint of $93,314. Starting remuneration will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
