The role is an integral part to the everyday running of the Taupō Policing Area, and the continuous support to Bay of Plenty District workgroups. An Area Executive Officers' role can vary day-to-day, as you will oversee a multitude of administrative functions and portfolios. These include:
- Active and valued member of the Taupō Area Leadership Team (ALT)
- Keeping our people safe
- Building and Contractor management
- Financial handling and advisor to the Taupō ALT
- Administration support to the Taupō Area
- Supervision and Leadership of Taupō Area Station Support Officers and Casual staff
No two days are alike, and your ability to take on unplanned tasks, projects, portfolios, attend to emergencies, and work under pressure will be your greatest asset.
The role relies on building effective partnerships within and external to Police, including Police National Headquarters, Bay of Plenty District Headquarters, Service Centres, Contractors and local partners and Iwi.
You'll be an experienced administration professional, who is an exceptional performer and passionate about delivering a high level of service. The role is general business hours Monday to Friday however flexibility is needed as you may be called on after hours at times.

- Ability to identify problems early including reviewing existing processes and protocols
- Ability to use a systems approach to finding effective solutions.
Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others.
- Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
- Potential for after hour calls and weekend work at times.
This role is set at Team Leader / Manager level, this means your key purpose is "to lead the activities for Our Business and enable our people to deliver them".

Utu ā-tau | SalaryThis position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $80,295 and $83,973 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
