About the Role

Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty has a fixed term part-time position available for an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to work with our amazing team at Te Kaha Community Health Centre working 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week).

In this multifaceted position, you will collaborate with our clinic team to deliver high-quality primary care and support an after-hours on-call roster.

You will work from our well-established base clinic in Te Kaha as well as through outreach clinics, becoming an integral part of a versatile medical team supported by visiting clinicians and regular health services.

We also assist with accommodation, ensuring you settle smoothly into the vibrant community of the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

Te Kaha Community Health Centre is situated on the sunny eastern coast of New Zealand's North Island, just one hour from Ōpōtiki. We deliver comprehensive healthcare services in a supportive rural environment, where our team's commitment and the region's natural beauty combine to create an exceptional living and working experience.

About You

To be successful in applying, you will have:

  • Registered Nurse with two plus years of proven experience in nursing practice.
  • Recent Acute Care or Community Care facility experience.
  • Current valid Driver's Licence.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
