An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and dedicated Technician to join our busy service workshop at BMW Wairau Valley, North Shore.

With that investment, Continental Cars operates two BMW dealerships: one in Wairau Valley on Auckland's North Shore, and another in Kaiwharawhara, Wellington.

With the continuous growth of our dealerships, our Auckland dealership is now looking for a Technician to join their busy workshop. This dealership is one of the newest and biggest BMW dealerships in New Zealand, presenting a world-class state-of-the-art facility with activities spanning over four levels of dedicated bespoke areas for M-cars, electric iBrand as well as an extensive range of New and Used vehicles for sale.

About the Role and Responsibilities

Our Service Centre is looking for an additional experienced Technician to join their busy workshop. With the use of the latest diagnostic technology, you are to ensure BMW vehicles are kept in top condition with only Genuine BMW parts and diagnostic equipment. You will be working closely with 10 other factory trained technicians with experiences together of 30+ years. As their new Technician, you are to ensure:

  1. Vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired to BMW and company standards.
  2. Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing as per customer's requests.
  3. Repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles such as the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
  4. May inspect vehicles and issue WOF certificates or detail works required to obtain WOF certificate.
  5. Ensure the service foreman/manager are advised of all cost overruns and delays in time to allow contact to be made with the customers.
  6. Support the other technicians in the team with difficult work.
To be successful in this role, you must:
  1. Have a Level 4 Automotive Certificate or.
  2. At least 3+ years of relevant experience.
  3. Ideally be WOF certified.
  4. Possess strong mechanical skills and electronic diagnostic experience.
  5. High level of computer and communication skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail.
  7. Deliver a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
