Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to increased volumes, we have an exciting opportunity for x2 part-time Parcel Sorters to join our Parcels division at our Auckland branch. Shifts: Monday - Friday x1 AM 4am – 8am and x1 PM 4pm – 8pm.

About the role - Mō te tūranga

You will be responsible for assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieving target delivery goals, and striving to provide an on-time, damage-free service.

Additional key duties include:

  • Load and unload all freight safely and securely
  • Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
  • Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
  • Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner
  • Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product
  • Maintain good working relationships
  • Communicate effectively within a team environment

What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?

To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight.

Additionally, you will need:

  • Prior work experience in the freight industry
  • A strong health and safety focus
  • OSH approved forklift certificate
  • F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential)
  • An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential)
