About The Role - Te Mahi

We are currently seeking applications for our Room Attendant roles at our Beautiful Sudima Christchurch Airport Hotel.

These entry-level roles do not require any prior hotel experience as full training will be provided. You will however need to have a positive attitude and be fit and active for the role, reliable and embrace our company values.

Or if you come from years of experience we would love to have you on the team and would value the expertise you bring.

This is a part-time role (minimum hours per week is 20 hours) paying $25.00 per hour and needs 7 day roster availability.

Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa

  1. Cleaning and servicing guest rooms and public areas according to the hotel's standards and procedures.
  2. Performing related duties and special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeping Manager.
  3. Providing a warm, friendly welcome whenever you contact a guest and assist with directions if needed.
  4. Ensuring and maintaining the security of the personal information of guests and team members of the hotel.
  5. Maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude when communicating with co-workers and management.

We seek team members with a great attitude. In addition, the following skills will see you succeed in this role:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  2. Ability to work with minimum supervision, follow instructions, and adhere to schedules and procedures.
  3. Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  4. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  5. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  6. Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
  7. Ability to pass a police and reference check.
