Established in 2005, Karbase Services began as a panel beating and suspension/wheel alignment shop in Otahuhu. Over the years, we have grown to become a one-stop shop for automotive services, including:

• Diagnostic tuning
• Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections
• General repairs
• Repair certifications
• Vehicle compliance

In 2017, we moved to a larger facility at 100 Great South Road, Otahuhu, to accommodate our expanding services, including a compliance center and service station.

Position: Automotive Painter
Location: Otahuhu, Auckland
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $28 to $32 per hour (based on experience)

Roles And Responsibilities

As an Automotive Painter at Karbase Services Limited, you will be responsible for:

• Surface Preparation: Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and smoothing.
• Paint Application: Applying primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other painting equipment.
• Color Matching: Mixing and matching paint colors to ensure a seamless finish that matches the vehicle's original appearance.
• Quality Control: Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets industry standards and company quality guidelines.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with panel beaters and other team members to ensure seamless repair and painting processes.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring the final paintwork meets or exceeds customer expectations.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of experience as an Automotive Painter in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
• Proficiency in color matching and paint mixing.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications (preferred but not essential).
• A valid driver's license.
