Mō te tūranga | About the Role

We have recently created new roles at Whenua Service, which is a double-staffed service based in Somerfield and is home to three young women in their 20's The young women have a variety of interests, including swimming, aqua jogging, and music therapy. They also find comfort in activities like going for drives, shopping, and spending time with horses through Riding for the Disabled (RDA). Additionally, they enjoy enhancing their kitchen skills.

You will be energetic, empathetic, and able to work alongside these individuals, focusing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem-solve, and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people's ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge, this could be the opportunity for you.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and is dependent on qualification level, paying between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

  • Wednesday to Saturday 4pm to 8pm

Role
