The Role:

We are seeking a versatile and adaptable Operations Specialist who will thrive as a "jack of all trades" within our organization. You will play a crucial role in supporting various teams across operations, production, sales, and drafting—helping where needed to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of projects. This role offers the unique opportunity to learn and grow within different areas of the business, with long-term potential to advance into a leadership role in operations, sales, or drafting.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience in an operations, production, or support role within a manufacturing or steel processing environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong ability to quickly adapt to different functions—whether assisting the sales team, supporting production, or contributing to drafting tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with different teams across the organization.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges outside of your core expertise.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results and improving processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Support: Assist various teams—operations, sales, production, and drafting—whenever needed to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Act as a bridge between departments, ensuring alignment and smooth handoffs throughout the production cycle.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to identifying and implementing improvements in workflow and processes across different areas, enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Sales Support: Help the sales team by providing technical assistance, preparing quotes, and ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Operations & Production Support: Support the operations team with scheduling, inventory management, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during production.
  • Drafting Assistance: Provide drafting support when needed, ensuring accurate plans for material usage and project specifications.
  • Skill Development: Take on new responsibilities and roles over time, with the goal of growing into a specialized leadership role within operations, sales, or drafting.
