Summary

Our New St. Paul's Hospital (NSPH) Technical Team is looking for an experienced Project Manager, Commissioning, to oversee commissioning processes, liaise between teams, and manage the development and delivery of Commissioning, BiM, and Asset Management scopes.

Here's What You'll Get To Do:

  • Lead the Owner's commissioning responsibilities and ensure compliance with the CSA Z8001 Commission Planning Framework.
  • Manage the development of Commissioning plans, scope, schedule, and process, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
  • Oversee the integration of LEED Commissioning requirements, Owner Equipment coordination, scheduling, and FM training for base-building systems and select equipment.
  • Coordinate Clinical training into the Commissioning schedule as required.
  • Liaise with the Technical Team and Operational Readiness team to ensure a smooth transition into operations.
  • Manage Compliance Team consultants, conduct field compliance reviews, and prepare detailed reports for entry into Autodesk.
  • Meet regularly with Operational Support team members to gather feedback and ensure alignment.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.
Here's What You'll Need:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the CSA Z8001 Commission Planning Framework and commissioning processes.
  • Proficiency in SmartSheet, Autodesk, REVIT, Bluebeam, BIM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in managing complex commissioning projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with diverse parties.
  • Proven experience in the coordination and scheduling of Owner Equipment, FM training, and Clinical training.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Please note: this role is hybrid, however the nature of our work requires regular in-office presence at our NSPH Office (Comox Building) and Station Street Office sites.

What You Bring

Education:

  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field and five (5) to seven (7) years' recent, related experience.
  • Eligible for registration and/or registration with an applicable licensing body may be required depending on project.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, tools and methodologies.
  • Broad knowledge of health care systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices for change management and change leadership.
  • Knowledge of budget management, funding and project administration.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Ability to utilize initiative, vision, independent and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to interact productively and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Effective facilitation, persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure.
  • Functional knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Your Day to Day:

  • Works with other members of the project leadership team to establish detailed project charters, plans, and objectives.
  • Executes project plan according to project methodologies.
  • Tracks project progress according to project plan.
  • Uses best utilization methods to monitor and adhere to allocated budgets.
  • Acts as a resource to project team and staff.
  • Contributes to the implementation of effective processes to ensure project success.
  • Meets with stakeholders and seeks input from the cross functional team leaders.
  • Discusses timelines for project and directs work of team members.
  • Manages and monitors project budget.
  • Works in collaboration with organizational and project leadership.
  • Ensures accurate and timely communications to stakeholders.
  • Develops briefing papers, reports and presentations.
  • Participates on a variety of committees.
  • Plans and executes handover to operational teams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
