The National Tournament & Event Coordinator role will be a valuable addition to our team here at Baseball NZ in a part-time capacity. You'll be working closely with our baseball clubs and regional associations to organize exciting tournaments and events all over NZ.

If you're an experienced and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills, a focus on delivering quality experiences, and a professional approach, then you might be the perfect fit for us. While baseball experience is not required, having knowledge in sports and events, especially in tournament and event management, can be a great asset.

Baseball NZ is on a mission to lead the growth of baseball from grassroots to elite levels, making it an exciting time to engage with the sport. With a new strategic plan in action, we are committed to expanding baseball in NZ, ensuring top-notch tournaments and events that cater to all ages, genders, and ethnicities.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in tournament and event management.
  • An alignment with community sport development.
  • The ability to build and maintain quality relationships.
  • An appreciation for community sports.
  • Motivation and a strong knowledge of the sports sector or a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent planning, organizational skills, and project leadership.
  • A passion for contributing to the growth of baseball in NZ.

This part-time position offers 16 hours per week in a flexible working environment, allowing you to be part of a dynamic team at Baseball New Zealand and collaborate with our Regional Associations and Club communities.
