Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join us at our Cambria Park factory.

The main purpose of this role is to lead the technical side of capital investment project execution and coordinate contribution of all stakeholders by managing a cross functional team whose objective is to oversee the capital investments relating to the company's fixed assets.

This could involve relocation and optimising of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets.

A day in the life
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the End-to-End Project Manager in defining the project team, project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestle Corporate Business Principles.
  • Lead the team and coordinate the contribution of all stakeholders, to get the engineering side of the project implemented.
  • Coordinate efforts with the start up manager and their team to assure a smooth transition to operations, after qualification of the installation has been finalised.
  • Prepare and distribute the project documentation of engineering, including the engineering part of the project final report and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System.
  • Be the engineering project team lead, meaning integrating, motivating, feed back coaching, developing, managing and evaluating team members and being their support and liaison with the steering committee and project stakeholders.

To be successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (eg: _Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Chemical or similar)._
  • Manufacturing projects management ("making it happen"): 4+ years experience in capital investment projects development and implementation in food industry
  • Determination of methods to minimise the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E).
  • Factory operations (as required).
  • Experience working in multifunctional team.
  • Direct, clear and concise communication skills both verbal and written
  • Stakeholder management
  • Team building is in your nature, developing relationships with maintenance, contractors and site functional departments
  • Project ownership with a cando attitude.
