As our Testing and Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for:

Fabricating and installing joinery into our test booth(s)Testing APL's joinery systems in our state-of-the-art IANZ accredited laboratory to ensure our products meet strict standards for performanceDevising various tests to carry out research and development on new productsSupporting our vast fabricator network with on-site testing and technical adviceSupporting APL's other business groups with various projects or joinery requirements

This role is highly varied, giving you the opportunity to be involved in the research and development of new windows and doors one day, the next, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to create unique solutions to real world problems. Working in a close-knit team, you will be focused and competent.

We are searching for someone who has:

Great attention to detailImpeccable organisational skillsExcellent relationship management skillsSelf-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountabilityAdaptable and flexibleExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in report writing is highly regardedExperience in aluminium fabrication desirableStrong practical mechanical background and experience desirable
