Mary Potter Hospice is looking for a Receptionist to join the Inpatient Unit team here in Newtown, Wellington.This part-time role is 16 hours per week; working 9.00am to 1.00pm, (hours negotiable) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday with the possibility of covering leave when required.
As our Receptionist, you are the first point of contact - on the phone or as the smiling face at the front entrance for many of our patients and visitors, and essential to creating a welcoming environment to everyone coming into our service.
As you can imagine, being calm and empathetic is key in this role.
This is a vital role at Mary Potter Hospice, and helps to ensure that we can continue to provide our great services for the community, free-of-charge.
The person we need will:
- Demonstrated ability to work within a confidential environment
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and is known to settle others in a crisis
