Due to exponential growth & ambitious forward build programme, we are looking for Project Manager's with infrastructure or civil construction experience that want to be a part of our unique journey in a new market sector of telecommunications infrastructure.

As a part of Connexa, you will contribute to the growth and development of New Zealand's mobile tower infrastructure to support the rollouts of 5G and future mobile technologies. With over 2,350 mobile sites across the nation, Connexa plays a crucial role in enabling our customers, including Spark and 2degrees, to provide exceptional coverage and services to end users, unlocking New Zealand's digital potential.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects across New Zealand in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including service providers, landlords and communities, to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget and timeline constraints. This role offers an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark in a rapidly evolving segment of New Zealand's telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil infrastructure projects, ensuring their timely and cost-effective completion
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as landlords and community members, to obtain necessary permissions and address any concerns
  • Conduct site assessments and surveys to assess the feasibility of proposed projects
  • Manage contracts and negotiate with contractors to ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Oversee the construction and installation of mobile towers, adhering to relevant safety regulations and industry standards
  • Monitor and control project budgets and expenditures to ensure financial objectives are met
  • Provide regular project updates to the leadership team and stakeholders, highlighting any issues or risks that may impact project delivery

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Project Planning and Risk Analysis
  • Financial astuteness with strong commercial acumen
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager from within construction, infrastructure or similar
  • Focus on continuous improvement & challenging the status quo to make greater efficiencies
  • Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and their application in a construction environment
  • High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required
