As a Project Manager, you'll lead planning, budgeting, and oversight of all assigned projects. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and completion of tasks within specified timeframes.
Your responsibilities include establishing effective communication plans, facilitating change requests, resolving issues with team members, and serving as the primary liaison with stakeholders. Additionally, you'll manage budgets, draft project reports, and maintain records for billing purposes.
To excel in this role, you'll need strong leadership skills, a proactive problem-solving approach, and a commitment to upholding health and safety standards. Your ability to foster a positive work environment and drive continuous improvement will be key to success.
Key Duties:
- Create and execute project work plans and budgets
- Manage day-to-day project operations
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders
- Lead project team recruitment and coordination
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Implement quality control measures
- Facilitate communication among team members
- Chair project meetings and prepare comprehensive reports
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Competencies and Skills:
- Marine engineering design proficiency.
- Strong communication, both written and verbal
- Problem-solving andrelationship building skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Advance skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Physical fitness and time management skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- General engineering or fabrication qualification.
- Proven track record in senior-level project management.
- Experience in budget management, stakeholder communication, and health and safety leadership.
