We havebeen on our sustainability journey for several years and believe we can createa real and sustainable impact on the environment, our operations, and thecommunities we are part of for the better. Today, we have diverted over800,000 of plant and seedling pots through our Pot Recycle programme, 475kgs oflight bulbs (programme started April), 20,000 cubes of Polystyrene (equivalentto about 7 Olympic swimming pools) from landfill. As a SustainabilityCoordinator you will assist and contribute firsthand within our vast network in building for a better future.

Thisis an exciting opportunity that doesn't come round very often at Mitre 10

Responsibilitieswill include:

  • Develop the nationalannual work programme for the networks sustainability leads (Champions),Inspire, and support them with local action activity
  • Support the developmentof the sustainability plan by helping maintaining procedures, records,researching new and existing initiatives and solutions for our customersand the network
  • Maintain data files toassist in the measure the networks carbon emissions, reduction managementplans and monthly sustainability reporting.
  • Maintain the ethicaland responsible framework platform
  • Supporting our categoryand compliance team around product claims, sustainable packaging, andethical and responsible sourcing accordance of the Sustainability plan.

Yourexperience will include;

  • Qualification insustainability preferred
  • 1+ years' experience inthe sustainability space
  • Good workingknowledge/experience in team member engagement and data management
  • Confidence and hands-onproficiency in using Excel and MS Office applications.
