We are looking for a Strategic Support and Accountability Manager to join Te Tāhū Hauora Health Quality and Safety Commission (Te Tāhū Hauora).
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate that you have:
- proven experience leading or supporting strategic direction, critical thinking, governance functions and advising executive leaders
- excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership
About the role
As the Strategic Support and Accountability Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of a range of ministerial servicing processes and leading a team of advisors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- strategic planning and support - work in partnership with executive leaders on setting strategic direction for Te Tāhū Hauora and providing governance secretariat support
- ministerial services - lead the government services function at Te Tāhū Hauora
- stakeholder management - establish effective working relationships with our key parliamentary contacts (such as the Office of the Minister of Health) and with other external agencies
- people management - lead by example, motivate staff for results and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
- cultural safety - acknowledge cultural differences by respecting spiritual beliefs, cultural practices and lifestyle choices.
About Te Tāhū Hauora
Te Tāhū Hauora is a stand-alone Crown entity with a Board responsible to the Minister of Health.
Te Tāhū Hauora is responsible for assisting providers, both private and public, across the whole health and disability sector to improve service safety and quality, and therefore outcomes for all those who use these services in Aotearoa New Zealand.
