Job Description:

Your work will be purposeful, and you will play an important role in helping the business achieve some exciting goals.

Here's a sneak peek into some of what you will be doing:

  • Develop and initiate a full
    Logistics strategy that includes objectives on process alignment, cost minimization and team consolidation to ensure an effective and timely process for our customers
  • Develop logistics third party logistics partners (
    3PL) map with alternate back up parties identified and standardise preferred suppliers across the business using a RFP / tender process to streamline pricing
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (
    KPIs) for the logistics team and service providers
  • Work with Planning, Production, Parts and Stores teams to create realistic
    shipping plans for
    sales orders and toplevel projects
  • Develop strategy for local and international air, sea, cross trade and courier shipments to achieve the best routes, modes and budget
  • Review and design the logistics team for the business to streamline resources, role and responsibilities and further integrate and align across the business
  • Contribute, validate, and maintain
    processes and procedures in regard to all inventory movement flows.
  • Observe, comply and contribute to policies, procedures and quality management systems

Qualifications:

About you:

  • Demonstrate excellent people leadership skills, empowering teams to achieve their full potential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
  • Commercial and financial / budget management experience
  • Global Logistics experience exposure to ANZ, China, EMEA, NAM, LATAM.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise and solve problems
  • Selfmotivated, dependable individual with a focus on accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with cross section of nationalities (Advantageous if fluent in Spanish)
  • Capable of supporting global operations across various time zones and locations, with the ability to travel to both our sites Auckland and Hamilton
  • A business or logistics degree would be advantageous
