Job Description:

As an undergraduate, you will have the chance to work alongside graduates, technical experts, and industry leaders. Below is the opportunities available in Christchurch:
Undergraduate Transmission Lines Engineer


In this role, you will be involved in the complete line design of Transmission Lines including modelling, design of structures and foundations within the
ANZ region and overseas, where possible.


Day to day responsibilities may include:

  • Concept and Detailed Design of Transmission lines
  • Modelling of structures
  • Foundation designs varying from normal concrete foundations to pile foundations
  • Site visits and inspections as required
  • Drafting design reports
  • Assisting with preparation of proposals
  • Managing smaller projects or parts of larger projects
  • Interfacing directly with clients on projects and new opportunities
  • Providing technical expertise in accordance with project time, quality and cost objectives as agreed with Project Managers
  • Compiling budget estimates and pricing schedules

Qualifications:

Undertaking a tertiary qualification in Civil engineering - Be in your second or third year of study at a New Zealand University

Able to commence work from mid-November 2023 to mid-February 2024 (Flexible).
