About the Role | He korero whakamarama mo tenei turanga
This is a highly diverse role where no two days will be the same.

As the Clinical Team leader, you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day oversight and implementation of all Geneva's Wellness and Rehabilitation services in the Northland region.

This will include providing leadership and management support to ensure the professional rehabilitation teams are delivering high quality and responsive services.

You'll be someone who thrives in a people-focused role, not only delivering positive health outcomes to clients but also engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to help the business grow and develop.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining oversight and adherence to Geneva's equity strategy and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Managing clinical staff performance and achievements under various contracts as well recruiting new staff to build and develop a highly efficient team that strives for excellence
  • Maintaining oversight of the delivery of services according to multiple contract specifications
  • Overseeing the deployment of the professional rehabilitation team based on experience and clinical expertise
  • Identifying, growing and maintaining community linkages, key contacts and stakeholders
  • Providing supervision and clinical advice as required, providing links to clinical leads and/or provide oversight to ensure optimum assessment and intervention outcomes are added

  • Experience in a clinical leadership position or extensive clinical experience looking to develop into a leadership role
  • Current NZ recognised qualification and registration in your field of work
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Understanding of Maori and Pacific models of Health
  • Proven depth of experience and expertise in a wide range of areas under the relevant scope of practice
  • A high level of knowledge and experience of Health Legislation and NZ health funding systems
  • Proven ability to negotiate to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and staff
  • Excellent communication and report writing ability
  • Proven knowledge of quality systems, complaints and incident management
  • Strong and effective relationships with colleagues and other health service providers
