ROLE PURPOSE


We are looking for a new employee to take on the role of Production Assembly Technician at our Molteno production factory in Dunedin, New Zealand.

The successful applicant will be a hands-on person skilled in the assembly, gluing and production of small plastic and metal mechanical parts.

The successful applicant will work within our small and passionate team in Dunedin, with a view on learning all facets of the production and assembly side of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and glue plastic and metal parts according to procedures
  • Work in the company clean room environment
  • Receive and inspect raw materials used for production
  • Clean raw materials and store in warehouse
  • Clean, assemble, test and pack devices in the clean room environment
  • Identify nonconforming parts and assist with root cause investigation
  • Follow instructions and procedures for assembly and testing and maintain required records according to our company quality system
  • Undertake training provided by the company for assembly and inspection tasks
  • Interacting with the Nova Eye engineering team
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Ensuring a safe and tidy workplace

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the assembly or repair of small mechanical components
  • Able and willing to work in a clean room facility
  • Preferred experience working with the aid of a microscope
  • Technical qualifications preferred
  • Experience working within a quality system
  • Able to work well in a team as well as individually
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$ $35.00 per hour
