THE OPPORTUNITY:


We're looking for a Grade 3 Printer to assist the wider print team at NZME's Ellerslie print plant in Auckland.

You will be required to use the press-based resources to produce high-quality print publications in a safe and timely manner.

Cleaning, repairs and maintenance of all machinery and equipment is also key to this role to ensuring optimum performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to pre and post run printing processes.
  • Preparing all printing presses as per the layouts provided webbing, plating up and setting up reel stands.
  • Undertake a cleanup of the equipment following completion.
  • Ensure operations are processed according to deadlines.
  • Operate all equipment to commercial standards, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
  • Master all technical and production systems and adapt to new media techniques.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Relevant printing experience, particularly coldset and heatset printing experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Deadline driven and ability to work under tight timeframes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable and capable with heavy lifting where required.
  • Mechanicallyminded and capable working with heavy machinery.
  • Team player, collaborative, communicate well as part of a team.
  • High degree of awareness for health and safety operating procedures.

This role is a full time, 40 hour per week role that requires shift work with every second weekend off.

You will be on a two-week rotating roster with a combination of day and night shifts.

The salary band for this role is k inclusive of paid allowances.
