The Role

Please note, this role is a hybrid position to be based out of our Christchurch office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Orchestrate our systems and key cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, MongoDB etc.) using Terraform.
  • Craft and implement consistent, secure, and repeatable processes for managing cloud infrastructure for existing and new projects.
  • Partner with development and operations teams to drive the modernisation of our infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain automated, repeatable, and secure processes that elevate the management of our existing infrastructure.
  • Architect, develop, and sustain a selfserve platform that empowers development teams to deploy their services effortlessly, eliminating the need for deep knowledge of the underlying cloud infrastructure. (e.g. Kubernetes).

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical expertise in real-world DevOps roles.
  • 3 to 5 years of handson experience in DevOps.
  • Robust experience in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Proficiency in cloud and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of GitHub.
  • Proficiency in at least one CI/CD tool like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Indepth knowledge of DevOps culture and best practices.
