About the role

We are on the look-out for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our fabulous team providing first class care services to our residents in our Somervale Village, located in stunning Mt Maunganui right by the beach.

Somervale offers a great working environment in a village which is 'small in size but big in heart'; this is a retirement village with an unbeatable sense of community.

This role is to work 60.5hrs per fortnight, working all PM shifts and alternative weekends only. There will also be the opportunity for you to pick up additional shifts if desired.


We offer competitive hourly rates and allowances, plus a retention bonus and great staff benefits such as paid 'wellness' days and your birthday off, as well as an amazing team to work in As an Accredited employer we can provide visa support if required.

Some of the great things you will be doing:

  • Clinical assessment, planning and implementation of nursing care
  • Effective communication and clinical problemsolving skills
  • Work collaboratively with other team members
  • Develop and review care plans in consultation with our residents and their families
  • Provide compassionate and highlevel care

About you
You pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service to our residents and have empathy for the older person

You also have:

  • Current Practicing Certificate and first aid certificate
  • Strong nursing experience, aged care even better
  • InterRai qualified is desirable
  • Up to date knowledge of wound care management
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills
  • You are also a team player with a caring, respectful manner which is important in our aged care environment.
