Full or part time (Monday to Friday)

We have a great opportunity for passionate, adaptable, and flexible catering superstars to join our café’s based in Tauranga and Mt Maunganui, where we provide catering services to staff working on site and external functions, as well as our new public facing café in the Tauranga City Library, He Puna Manawa.

This could be one full-time position working across multiple sites, or split between two people working 2 or 3 days per week. Hours are likely to be weekdays somewhere between 6am and 3pm.

We are looking for café all-rounders who understand people and know what outstanding service looks like. You will be involved in all aspects of the café and food service, and so previous customer service and cooking experience is required. Barista experience would be an advantage. If you can think on your feet, show great teamwork, and a flexible can-do attitude, then this opportunity could be for you.

In these positions you will:

- carry out food preparation, basic cooking, baking, and reheating
- serve beautifully crafted café style food and coffee to customers
- operate EFTPOS and POS machines with a smile
- move and manage stock
- keep the kitchen clean, and do dishes
- deliver off site catering

Who you are:

- self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a passion for food
- friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible
- have experience in food preparation, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- have experience in cafe and cafeteria style food service
- have cooking experience
- hold a full and valid NZ drivers’ licence
