Laboratory Technologist

- Design, lead and review validation processes and studies;
- Provide strategic direction for the laboratory equipment, instrument calibration and maintenance programme;
- Improve investigations by providing technical insight;
- Impart technical knowledge and drive test method optimization;
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, methods, equipment and automation;
- Analyse data to provide recommendations for improvement;
- Perform routine and nonroutine testing as required.

Knowledge:
- Test methods and equipment used in the dairy industry;
- Understanding of ISO 17025 and IANZ accreditation requirements;
- A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry and/or Microbiology.
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in validation processes & procedures;
- Laboratory equipment procurement, calibration and maintenance;
- Reviewing and implementing new technology/methods.
Essential Qualifications Required:
- Tertiary science qualification preferably in Food Science, Chemistry and/or Microbiology.
