Senior Technician Calibration

We have a one year fixed term opportunity for a Senior Technician to calibrate a range of laboratory equipment and to maintain the group's quality system documents within the Q-Pulse Quality Management System.
The role also supports the quality team within the Forensic Business Group, based at our Mount Albert Science Centre in Auckland.
In this role, you may be involved in:
- Carrying out equipment calibrations within agreed timeframes, and in accordance with accreditation requirements.
- Coordinating necessary equipment checks, servicing and maintenance as outlined by external parties.
- Maintaining instrument and calibration records in Q-Pulse
- Providing advice to laboratories, including interpretation of calibration results and provision of routine testing plans
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in science.
- Broad experience in microbiological or chemical testing methods of food or water or clinical samples.
- High level of technical skills.
- Experience with Quality Assurance systems.
- Familiarity with Q Pulse and other software such as Workday/MS Office Suite.
- An appreciation of sound laboratory practice including an appreciation of the importance of the development of standard operating procedures.
- A methodical approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, and able to meet deadlines to provide excellent service.
